    Let's Start With The Basics

Must be between 18 and 89 years old

    Why Cancer Insurance?

Cancer insurance provides a lump-sum cash benefit directly to you when diagnosed with cancer. Unlike traditional health insurance that pays providers, this money is yours to use however you need—medical bills, travel expenses, mortgage payments, or daily living costs.

    We're Independent Brokers

We work with multiple insurance carriers to find you the best coverage at the best price. We shop the market so you don't have to, comparing plans from top-rated insurers to ensure you get the protection you need.

Note: Rates shown are estimates based on typical underwriting. Final premiums depend on carrier approval and specific policy details. We'll confirm exact pricing during your consultation.

    Frequently Asked Questions

Do I need cancer insurance if I have a Medigap plan?

Yes, cancer insurance is still valuable even with Medigap. While Medigap covers most medical bills, cancer brings many non-medical expenses like prescriptions, travel to specialists, lost income, and daily living costs. We typically recommend $10,000-$20,000 in coverage for Medigap beneficiaries.

Does this work if I have Medicare Advantage?

Cancer insurance is especially important with Medicare Advantage plans. MA plans have maximum out-of-pocket limits that cancer treatment can quickly reach. If your treatment spans multiple calendar years, you could hit that limit twice. We recommend coverage equal to at least 2x your plan's maximum out-of-pocket.

What if I don't have Medicare yet?

Cancer insurance is available regardless of whether you have Medicare. It works alongside any health insurance you have—employer coverage, ACA marketplace plans, or private insurance. We recommend at least $10,000 in coverage for those not yet on Medicare.

Can I get cancer insurance if I'm under 65?

Yes! Cancer insurance is available for ages 18-89. In fact, enrolling when you're younger means lower premiums that stay locked in as you age. It's a smart way to protect yourself before Medicare while paying less.

If I switch Medicare Advantage plans, can I keep my cancer coverage?

Absolutely. Cancer insurance is completely separate from your Medicare coverage. It stays with you no matter what changes you make to your health insurance—switching MA plans, changing Medigap carriers, or even moving to a different state.

    What are recurring benefits?

A recurring benefit provides additional payments if you're diagnosed with cancer again in the future. This could be the same cancer returning or a completely different type of cancer. It adds approximately 25% to your premium but provides valuable protection against future diagnoses.

How do I use the cancer insurance benefit?

Upon diagnosis, the insurance company pays you a lump sum directly. You can use this money for anything you choose—medical bills, prescriptions, travel expenses, mortgage payments, groceries, or any other needs. There are no restrictions on how you spend it.

How soon can my coverage start?

Most cancer insurance policies have a 30-day waiting period from your effective date. This means if you're diagnosed with cancer within the first 30 days, the policy won't pay. That's why it's important to apply soon—you want protection in place before you need it.
